Pipelines are important assets in delivering energy to its end consumers worldwide. Despite pipeline operators are prudently and diligently maintaining pipelines integrity, pipelines like any other equipments in Oil & Gas industry are undergoing aging process and prone to defects such as external and internal corrosions, dent, gouge, buckle, combination of the defects etc. These defects cannot be left as it is since it can affect the integrity of pipelines thus increasing the pipeline risk of failure and could hit pipeline operators’ business bottom line. This workshop will provide participants the overview of latest applicable pipeline defect assessments methodologies and repair techniques available in the industry.

Throughout his 13 years in PETRONAS, Mohd Nazmi has been exposed in various aspects of asset improvement and integrity management initiatives. Now he is currently Principal Engineer in Pipeline Integrity attached to General Manager’s Office of PETRONAS Gas Berhad. His responsibilities are to provide consultancies and solutions to pipeline integrity related issues ranging from pipeline operation and maintenance to integrity management, and develop and enhance organization’s capabilities towards achieving and sustaining best of class pipeline performance.
