EHRMAThe Egyptian Human Resource Management Association (EHRMA) was born as an idea many years ago, but only reached the point where the idea became reality and on the first of October 2000, when the Association was licensed by the Ministry of Social Affairs.

Until that time there had been many associations and publications devoted to Human Resource development – that side of the Human Resource profession that focuses upon the training of employees and managers in and for the workplace. But, forums where practicing Human Resource Managers could meet to learn and discuss trends and issues in Human Resource Management had yet to find a home.  EHRMA is an attempt to build this house and to nurture it into a home where practicing Human Resource Managers can share ideas, problems and solutions and to support each other as they face an exciting but uncertain future.

The strategic plan of EHRMA describes a desired vision for the Association and what it will take to begin to achieve it in its first three years.  It is based on a well-developed mission statement that will serve as the cornerstone of the foundation upon which EHRMA will be built.

EHRMA’s commitments are articulated as goals the Association hopes to achieve.  Within each goal are a series of objectives and actions that will focus and direct the startup of our Association.  Continued discussion and resulting actions will need to be addressed by EHRMA’s founding Board of Directors so that progress towards each goal is made.

The plan will charts the start up of the Association and provides the framework for on-going evaluation and planning over the first three years.  In this way EHRMA will continue the process of thinking strategically and planning, all of which will ensure relevance of direction and achievement over time.

It is an official member at the Canadian Chamber of Commerce in Canada; having access to their members database who mounts to 170,000.
