Adrian Scrase played a central role in creation of the 3rd Generation Partnership Project (3GPP) and is responsible for the operations of the 3GPP Project Co-ordination Group. He also Heads 3GPPs’ Mobile Competence Centre (MCC) which is an International team of 20 experts who provide comprehensive support to the Project.
Adrian has more than 25 years experience in the telecommunications field, which includes 20 years of experience in standardization. He is Vice President within ETSI with responsibility for International Partnership Projects. |

Christian Daigneault is the Chief Technology Officer of CSL Limited since July 2007. In these two years with CSL, Christian has orchestrated a full network transformation and brought the first All IP HSPA+ 21 Mbps network in the world.
Christian came to CSL with a strong telecommunications background with more than 20 years experience in the wireless mobile industry.
He started his career with Bell Mobility Cellular in Canada, where he was responsible for radio network planning and strategies. At Bell Mobility, he pioneered several radio network configurations from omnidirectional to 3 and 6 sectors configurations, to increase capacity and to meet the fast growing traffic.
He later joined Canadian operator Telesystem International Wireless (TIW), developing wireless networks in Europe, Asia and South America. During that period, Christian successfully launched a TDMA network in Brazil for Claro Digital, was instrumental in deploying the first foreign joint venture GSM network in China with China Unicom in Hunan Province, and was responsible for the development of the Dolphin Tetra network in the United Kingdom, Germany and France.
More recently, Christian was the Director of RF Engineering and Operations at Telus Mobility in Canada, where he was successful in improving network quality from unsatisfactory performance to best in class. Prior to joining CSL, Christian was Deputy CTO for Wataniya Telecom in Algeria.

Jayesh Easwaramony is a Director of Frost & Sullivan’s ICT Consulting Practice team. His expertise lies in creating business strategies to enter new services in the telecom, media and technology sectors and preparing investment and implementation plans for new launches. He has spoken widely in various international forums for his views on IPTV, broadband networks and new media and in interviews for CNBC, BBC and other publications. He has worked with key clients like SKT, Telecom Malaysia, NSN, Cisco and SingTel in the past.

Kugan joined Maxis in 2003 and currently drives and manages the company’s extensive portfolio of voice and non-voice products and services, including SMS, MMS, mobile data and browsing, mobile commerce, mobile TV and mobile music/games, among others. In his capacity, Kugan also drives the development and deployment of new mobile data technologies for Maxis as part of the company’s overall strategy to build on its leadership as Malaysia’s largest mobile infotainment business.
Kugan has over 14 years experience in telecommunications, starting with his stint at Ericsson Sweden as Implementation Manager overseeing operations in the North African and Asia market. He then moved to Ericsson Thailand to be Head of Product, managing the AIS account.
In 2000, Kugan joined DiGi Telecommunications Malaysia as the Head of Product Development and Management and was responsible for key strategies and deployment of key initiatives within the prepaid segment.

Dr. Wen-Hao Yang is the Acting Managing Director of Wireless Communication Technology Lab. of Telecommunication Laboratories, Chunghwa Telecom Co., Ltd. (CHT-TL), Taiwan. He received his Ph.D. in Electronic Engineering from National Chiao-Tung University, Hsinchu, Taiwan, R.O.C., in 1994. His research interests are in the areas of cellular communications, wireless access technologies and antennas. Recently, he leads the 3G, HSPA/HSPA+, and LTE/LTE-Advanced research projects in CHT-TL. |

Mothilal is the Group Chief Strategy Officer of Dialog Telekom PLC, Sri Lanka, and a subsidiary of Telekom Malaysia. His portfolio consists of Business and Strategic and Corporate Planning, Quality Management and Process Improvement, Information Systems, Business Intelligence and Enterprise Risk Management. He also actively gets involved in creating a strategy and roadmap for a convergent Next Generation Network. This covers group wide initiatives for IMS, SDP and NGOSS. He has gained authoritative knowledge in the strategic aspects of these areas and participated in several international forums as a speaker. Mothilal holds a dual hat position in the parent company, Telekom Malaysia International Berhad as the Vice President Process Excellence and Group Operations.

Steve joined RBS as Head of Asia Telecom in August 2008. Previously, Steve was Global Head of Structured Loans and Advisory in ABN Amro Bank (2006-2007) and ran the Bank’s TMT Finance Groups in Latin America (1998-2001), Asia (2001-2004) and Europe (2004-2006). Steve also worked at Tele2 AB, a mobile operator headquartered in Sweden. Prior to that, Steve served in Turkey and Egypt as a Foreign Service Officer with the US Department of State.
Steve received his Bachelor of Arts Degree in Economics from Stanford University in 1977 and Master in Business Administration in 1990 at the Anderson School at UCLA

Thomas Magedanz (PhD) is full professor in the electrical engineering and computer sciences faculty at the Technische Universität Berlin, Germany, leading the chair for next generation networks (www.av.tu-berlin.de). In addition, he is director of the “next generation network infrastructure” division of the Fraunhofer Institute FOKUS (www.fokus.fraunhofer.de/go/ngni). Since 2006, Prof Magedanz acts also as Extraordinary Professor at the Department of Electrical Engineering of the University of Cape Town, South Africa (www.ee.uct.ac.za).
Since more than 20 years Prof. Magedanz is working in the convergence field of fixed and mobile telecommunications, the internet and information technologies, which resulted in many international R&D projects centred on prototyping of new innovative multimedia applications and related Service Delivery Platforms (SDPs) above Next Generation Networks (NGNs), Next Generation Mobile Networks (NGMNs), and the Future Internet. In this context, Prof. Magedanz joined in 2007 the European FIRE (Future Internet Research and Experimentation) Expert Group.
In the course of his research activities he published more than 300 technical papers/articles. In addition, Prof Magedanz is senior member of the IEEE, and editorial board member of several journals. |

Dragos Vingarzan |
Dragos Vingarzan graduated as Dipl. Ing. at the “Politehnica” University of Bucharest, Romania in February 2005, the Computer Engineering program on base software, compilers and computer networks with a Diploma Thesis at Fraunhofer FOKUS which represented the first milestone of the Open IMS Playground. Since 2005, he continued his reseach activity at the same institute in the area of feasibility and performance studies on NGN/NGMN architectures. Currently he is working on his PhD in the area of IMS core and Evolved Packet Core (EPC) networks, with special interests in prototyping, open source in telecommunications, performance benchmarking and interoperability. He is an active member of various IMS working groups. |

Jaikishan Rajaraman

Jaikishan Rajaraman is Senior Director of Services at the GSMA. His main responsibilities centre around the development of inter-operable solutions for new services and technologies within the GSM world.
As Senior Director for Asia, Mr Rajaraman currently drives GSMA services and technology strategy for the greater Asia-Pacific region, a role that he fulfils from his base in Singapore. He has more than 10 years’ experience in mobile product development, strategy and management, specialising in roaming and inter-working solutions. His expertise spans both developed and developing markets in Asia and Europe.
Mr Rajaraman sits on the Open Mobile Alliance (OMA), the industry body that drives services standardisation for mobile telecommunications, and was a Member of its Board of Directors.
Besides an Honours degree in Telecommunications Engineering, Mr Rajaraman also holds a Masters degree in Financial Engineering from the National University of Singapore. |

Amrish Kacker heads the strategy consulting practice for Analysys Mason in Asia Pacific based out of Singapore. He moved to Singapore from the head office of Analysys Mason in Cambridge, UK in 2006. Analysys Mason is the world’s premier advisory group in telecoms, IT and media supporting operators, regulators, financial institutions and technology vendors in commercial decision making.
Amrish specialises in supporting Board level investment and strategy decision making in the telecoms and media sector. He is the thought leader in the Wireless Broadband and Fixed Mobile Convergence (FMC) space within Analysys Mason having worked on a range of wireless broadband projects for across a range of different technologies – HSPA, WiMAX and CDMA. He has recently undertaken a review of the commercial strategy for an North Asian operator multi-play operator, including a significant HSPA wireless broadband proposition. He has recently led a project to successfully support a mobile operator in Hong Kong in acquiring a 2.6 GHz LTE license. He has also worked with a leading South-East Asian operator in assessing network costs – in the context of growing mobile broadband traffic.
Amrish’s previous work experience includes having worked for a large general management strategy consulting firm in Europe as well as large international FMCG company. Amrish has an engineering degree in Computer Science from BITS, Pilani and an MBA from the Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad. |

Mr. Shah is a Head of Wireless Segment Development, for Asia/Pacific region at Juniper Networks. He is responsible for developing wireless strategy, solutions, standards and partnership initiatives. He moved into this role in January 2009 and later relocated to India. Previously at Juniper-California, he was responsible for product management, technical solutions development with global channels such as Nokia-Siemens Networks. He also serves on the board of Broadband Forum, where he is a VP of International Development.
Mr. Shah has over fifteen years of global telecom industry experience including living in US for 12 years (Massachusetts & California), and has worked with operators across the globe. He is frequently invited to present at various industry conferences. His prior experience includes eight years at Lucent, where most recently he developed and managed integrated solutions with Juniper, Riverstone, and OSS vendors. Earlier, he worked with Zeitnet (Cabletron), Tata Group, and ISRO, India in the areas of system engineering and software development.
